Private by design

Built by physicians who handle sensitive health information every day. Your data is private by default and always in your control.

You start the recording

Nothing is captured without your action. You initiate every session.

You control sharing

Summaries stay private unless you choose to share them.

You can delete at any time

Delete your visit summaries whenever you want.

How your data is handled

What is recorded

Kin records your visit only when you choose to start recording.

How it’s used

The recording is used to generate a summary with next steps.

Who can see your information

Your summary is private by default. Others only have access if you choose to share it.

How your data is protected

Your data is encrypted and secure. Kin uses modern security practices to protect it.

A note on HIPAA

Kin is not a covered entity under HIPAA. Because Kin is a tool you use independently for your own purposes, it is not subject to HIPAA in the same way your doctor's office is.

But our standard is the same: your health information is sensitive, and we treat it that way.

You own your data. Kin does not share it, sell it, or access it without your knowledge.
