Use a dependent profile to keep visits, notes, and next steps for someone you care for in one place. Dependent profiles can be for a person or a pet.

### How do I add a dependent profile?

On the **Home** tab, tap the name at the top to open the profile selector, then tap **Add a dependent**. Choose **Person** or **Pet**, and follow the prompts to finish setting up the profile. You can add a photo when you create it.

### How do I edit a dependent's profile or photo?

Tap your name at the top of the **Home** tab, then **Account settings → Sharing**. Under **Following**, open the dependent's profile, tap the **…** menu, and choose **Edit profile**. Owners and admins can edit the profile's details and photo.

### Who can delete a dependent profile?

Only the profile's owner can delete it. Open the profile, tap the **…** menu, choose **Delete**, and confirm. Deleting removes the profile and its data.

### What if I have duplicate profiles?

Kin doesn't let you merge profiles in the app. If you created duplicates, contact Support from **Account settings → Help → Support & feedback** before deleting anything. Support can help you work out what to do with the existing profile data.
