### Before your appointment

- Open Kin and create an account using your phone number
- Sync your calendar, or add your first visit by selecting "Add Visit"
- Input your appointment and provider details
- If you have questions you want to remember during your visit, you can jot them down under "Agenda"

### Starting the recording

Tap the round record button at the bottom of the screen. Kin starts recording right away, on your next scheduled visit or a new one it creates for you. Keep your phone nearby, it doesn't need to be held up or visible, and it's okay if the screen locks. Kin will keep recording.

### Ending the recording

When the visit ends, tap **Stop**. Kin pauses and asks **All done?** Tap **End visit** to finish and get your summary. It's usually ready within a minute.

### Why does Kin ask for my phone number?

We use your phone number to create your unique user profile and make sure all your doctor visits are securely stored.

### What's the visit already in my Records?

New accounts start with an example visit, marked **Example**. It shows what a summary looks like after you record an appointment. It isn't a real visit, and you can delete it whenever you like. Its next steps are examples too, so they can't be changed.
